Get On Your Knees! Submit To Upline!
One thing my sponsor/upline told me was I would be uber successful in the business because I did not have a huge ego. That I could submit to upline as man submits to God. Looking back, I realize how delusional my former upline was. But I cannot give him all of the blame. I am certain that someone higher up in the WWDB organization taught his this concept. Basically, submitting pretty much meant we did as we were told, or we did as upline advised. The part that sucked about all of this was doing what we were told to do, only to end up taking responsibility for any failures. As an IBO, it's like I was basically trained to be a slave for upline. My sponsor actually held PV contests at times and the winner got to drive upline to the airport (At the IBO's own expense). This was considered an honor and would get you edified at the next nite own or group meeting. Now that I am out of Quixtar/Amway, I can see that this was a bunch of bullshit.

IBO stands first off for (Independant) so you really dont have to operate your business like your upline does, Amway does not require you to listen to a thing your upline says, only the rules of conduct and that is pretty much simple.
Then Its (Business Owner) meaning you are the owner of your own franchise of a larger coorperation ( not your upline ) but of Amway. Honestly how long were you listening to this upline of yours? Levi, the indedent label is a myth. Amway has many restrictions and unless you go against your upline, you are never independent. Amway is not a franchise. If it were you would sign a franchise agreement with Amway. There would be no LOS groups like WWDB if Amway was a franchise. Please get your facts straight.
This is called private franchising. Similar to a traditional franchise but without the same limits. As a traditional franchisee, can you open up your own store? No, only the franchisor can. If you do, you're kicked out. You don't have that problem with private franchising. So, if all you know is traditional franchising, it's time for you to unlearn some of the stuff you learned in order to understand private franchising.

Private franchising, interactive distribution, prosumer, business mentality....these buzzwords are not new. In fact, I heard the private franchising line back in the 90's.
An IBO is an authorized reseller of Amway products and product lines they carry.
If you think you're that "indepedent" - go tell Amway that you are going to advertise in the local paper and also sell other product lines like Avon or Shaklee thru your IBO business....

Amway is not a franchise. There is no franchise agreement to sign when you decide to become an IBO. An IBO is more like a commissioned salesperson. If Amway was a franchise, then IBO training would come from Amway and not some BS group like WWDB.
Funny, I can't seem to find any definition on investopedia.com for "private franchise". If you don't know what investopedia is look it up...I can't do everything for you now can I? But please note that it is highly reputable.

What's wrong with motivational materials? Is motivation wrong? If you don't like it, it sure is! Saty unmotivated then and no matter how much motivational material comes your way, you won't make use of it. This material is intended only to those who already are self motivated. To answer your questions but not repeat them to attempt to sound smart (like you are by copying your upline) I will retire comfortably, I do have savings, and I will not be dependent on the government.

I have no debt other than a mortgage...a mortgage for a fairly large house might I add...I just bout a brand new bunkhouse camper...outright. Both my husband and I drive newer, what we consider nice cars that we bout outright as well. I travel all over...and am in Europe at least two times a year. Anything else you need to know? You want the square footage of my home? You want to know how many and how big all my flatscreen TVs are? Did you want to know how many game systems I have? How many blue-ray players I have?

you guys are so stupid. who said they were mixed if I posted my budget you could clearly see the simple dividing line between what is my Income in both and what is my expeses in both. The Irs just cares that you file it right at the end of the year you anonomous moron. I love how desperate you all are to discredit my abilities as a human being while I hear nothing as to what is it you do and how that is better than what I am doing. My income from my job is still seperate from the income from my buisiness I just dont waste the forms since my business would be likely more of a waste of paper on its own right now. I make sales totaling an average of 1300 per month and an average of 300 is profits that 3oo goes back into my businesses expense catagory. Its all on the same legders, jornals, and summarys but not part of the same totals, It's a whole seperate part yet just shares the room on the paper. maybe I realy would have to just go ahead and post it. and by the way my tax accountant at the end of last year had no problem understanding it. she actually complemented the fact that there was not such an elaborate amount of paper.

It doesn't matter how big or small a business is, you have to track everything on paper. That way, when you do your taxes, and the IRS decides to audit you, you can PROVE it. I'm not sure the IRS would agree that since your business was so small it would be a waste of paper to do so.
Besides, if you can't or won't do regular bookkeeping when you have a small business, you likely won't do it when it's big. At what point do you decide it's big enough to keep the books like a REAL business?

Nobody is discrediting you as a human being but rather as a supposed business owner. Where do you come up with such nonsense? And you said you keep your expenses together on various blogs.
Oh and you may want to check into the definition of profit because if any money you are generating (income) is being used to pay for expenses than that is not profit. Profit is the amount of income you have AFTER paying for all expenses. And in no way should you have your bsuiness expenses or income on the same P/L in any way with any other expenses from any other sources. It should always be seperate....and it does make a difference how one balances their P/L....there is only one way and the fact that you rant otherwise is yet more proof that you are in no way a business owner, or even know the basics of business. No one has to go out of their way to show it Levi, you do it all by yourself.
For the final time on this really ignorant blog, I am not doing the attacking,I am simply telling you how I do things. And as far as My P/L for my home and business, if you can read, I put my business totals at the bottom of all my household lists. totals for my household do not include totals for my business, I just use the bottom of the page ( for room purposes) to include a small tracking of my small business.

Let’s do the math...$3600 /12= 300 (that is per month) $300/4= 75 (thats weekly) now lets figure hours... many IBO's claim to only work 10 hours a week...so I will assume that is true...$75/10= $7.50 per hour. Lets up it some... $75/20= $3.75 per hour. Lets down it... $75/5= $15 per hour. Nomatter how you look at it, the results are not in your favor....an accountant would know that....but of course in being an accountant you would have already figured this and you should be able to elaborate the calculations further for us all to see.

This has been the most humorous post I have followed.
